Mission Accomplished!

The learnings that I discovered during the 4th quarter were how to use Microsoft Frontpage and its parts such as the title bar, menu bar, formatting toolbar, and many more.      We also did a hands-on activity on creating an ethernet cable. Our teacher taught  us the basics of how to make an ethernet cable by teaching us the step-by-step procedure, and our teacher gave us a cable we did the activity in pairs to show how we apply our learnings in her discussion and it also shows our cooperation and teamwork while doing the activity      In conclusion, we did a lot of activities and hard work this last quarter and also the previous quarters, and our efforts paid off after staying up all night to study for the upcoming activities the next day. We managed to comply with all of our projects and survived the last quarter, the previous quarters helped us gain knowledge and experience that we won't forget.

Seeing My Future Self

I need patience and a sense of responsibility in the profession I want; I must study well and properly to acquire my desired career. In 10 years, I will develop a strong expertise in a specific area of law, it will depend on the field that I will be assigned to but having a specialization in a certain field can give me an advantage within a particular domain. As a lawyer, I can see myself pursuing a position in the Law firm and being involved in taking on a more challenging case. A...

My Mother, My Greatest Warrior

Image
Mother's Day is a special holiday that is celebrated annually to honor and appreciate mothers and motherhood. It is not the only day where we can show our gratitude to them, we can show it to them every day without waiting for the day to come Source: https://www.pixtastock.com/illustration/75498567      We celebrated it by going to church and eating outside, we spend our time happily as a family and have our quality time. There are many ways to show your appreciation and gratitude towards our mother, grandmother, and aunts such as making love letters and giving thoughtful gifts; but I show my love to them by spending time with them by talking/chatting with them, helping them do the chores, etc. This can be a way to show appreciation for all the maternal support and love you have received over the years. It is important to remember that motherhood takes many forms and is not limited to biological mothers or those who fit into traditional roles. I...

It is a time to advocate for policies that support workers' rights and welfare, such as fair pay, safe working conditions, and equal opportunities.      In summary, Labor Day serves as an important reminder of the value and importance of work, and the need to support and empower workers in th...

3 OUT OF 4

The learnings that I discovered during the 3rd quarter were on how to create a bulleted and numbered list in HTML. The community-based research also helped us know more about our culture and their history. While creating the community-based research, me and my groupmates helped each other by dividing the parts equally and making sure everyone had a part to do. We used our time wisely and had proper time management when doing the research. The challenges we have encountered are that we lack time during the weekdays because we have performances to practice the whole day; we only have free time during the weekends. We faced these challenges and still passed our community-based research. Moving on, I will manage my time more wisely and make time for the activities, and I will make sure that I pass them on time.

Holy Week Traditions

Image
Holy Week is a prominent Christian liturgical celebration that honors the occasions leading up to Jesus Christ's crucifixion, death, and resurrection. Easter Sunday, the most significant day in the Christian calendar, serves as the culmination of the seven-day celebration.     The start of Holy Week is marked by Palm Sunday, which commemorates Jesus' victorious arrival into Jerusalem on a donkey while being greeted by crowds who waved palm branches and yelled "Hosanna!" in recognition of Him as their King. Maundy Thursday, commonly referred to as Holy Thursday, comes next. It marks the Last Supper, when Jesus gathered with his followers to partake of bread and wine and establish the sacrament of Holy Communion. The final day of the week is Good Friday, when Jesus was executed on the cross as what is regarded as the ultimate atonement for the sins of humanity. Many Christians attend services to remember Jesus' death and sacrifice on this somber day of sadne...

The 121st High School Day Celebration

Image
Ilocos Sur National High School celebrated the 121 st High School Day Celebration with the theme, “Renewed Commitment in Defying Odds to Transcend Heights of Excellence and Solidarity”. For many kids, high school is a crucial time in their lives. It is a time of great enthusiasm, difficulties, and growth prospects. For the majority of students, the day begins in the early hours of the morning with the sound of an alarm clock. Other high school students might participate in extracurricular activities like athletics, music classes, or club meetings throughout the school day. Students get the opportunity to explore their interests and pick up new skills through these activities. If there are no after-school activities planned, there may be homework or study to be done. Some students may find this to be a difficult time because of the amount of work they have to finish. The average high school day is made up of a wide range of events and activities. For many teenagers...

The National Women's Month is celebrated during March 8. It is a global day celebrating the historical, cultural, and political achievements of women. Season of LOVE

Image
Valentine’s Day is a holiday when lovers express their affection with greetings and gifts. It is also called St. Valentine’s Day and celebrated annually on February 14. The holiday has expanded to express affection between relatives and friends. This day is not only for lovers, but for all those whom we love. Of course, Valentine's Day is not the only day to share our love. Rather, it is yet another opportunity to let those whom we love know how much we love and appreciate them. My experience during Valentine's Day this year in 2023 is fun; it is not boring because I'm with my classmates and family. At school, seeing people younger than me receive flowers doesn't bother me; on the other hand, the people I hang around with are feeling bitter the whole day. I may not have a Valentine's date, but I have my family and friends to give me love and comfort during that day. I don't just receive love, comfort, and food on special occasions; nevertheless, I receive them...

The Hidden Talents of the Teachers

Image
The Vigan City Fiesta is held every January 25. It is celebrated on the feast day of the conversion of St. Paul the Apostle. St. Paul is Vigan City’s patron saint. Before his conversion, St. Paul was known as Saul, a zealous persecutor of Christians. After he was touched by a personal encounter with Jesus Christ on his way to Damascus, his name was changed to Paul, and he endured a lot of hardships and danger to spread the word of God to far places.        These photos were taken during Education Night on January 21, 2023. This event was attended by different educators from elementary, junior high, and senior high schools under SDO Vigan City. Many teachers participated in the said event; some showcased their singing and dancing skills. Ilocos Sur National High School bagged 2 nd place in their performance. The teachers’ performances were mesmerizing and fun to watch. The audience was amazed at their props, makeup, and singing and dancing sk...

My Learnings in this Quarter

I have learned a lot about a lot of topics and activities this quarter, such as HTML and posting blogs about our community. I am eager to learn more because I find it interesting and fun. I might make some mistakes, but I still learn from them. I did get a high score, which made me happy. I will do my best this next quarter to participate in the upcoming activities on this subject. When you investigate this topic, it is enjoyable, but it may be difficult because you will need to check every line of code or tag to see if it is correct; one mistake will ruin the whole project.

A New Beginning

Image
The start of a new calendar year is marked by the time of day known as "New Year." It is a common tradition celebrated by all, it includes attending parties, making new year's resolutions, and eating foods.        Just one single strike of the clock will change the year to a whole new one.  Though it can be considered as a usual tick, it is not because it not just changes the date and month, but also the year we have lived for 365 days.  It is considered pretty important by many as it signifies the beginning. New Year is not just about celebrations and resolutions; it is more than what meets the eye.  It symbolizes motivation for many new beginnings. Another new 365-day journey begins with New Year's eve being the first day.  Though we live the same life with just a set of new resolutions made to break later, we tend to believe that it is a new start.  If you ask us why the new year is celebrated, then our answer is th...

Simple but Enjoyable Celebrations

Image
Christians celebrate Christmas because it commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ. It is celebrated on the 25th of every December. Christmas is as much about giving as it is about receiving.        On December 24, 2022, I and my family prepared many foods for us to eat on Christmas Eve; we even stayed in contact with our grandparents and cousins through video calls. We are not able to go to our family's house because we can't leave our pets alone again, which causes them stress. The last time we had our whole family gather was in 2019, after 6 years. We spent Christmas Eve happily because we are complete and content with what we had. My family watched movies and played games; we spent our vacation spending quality time with each other. On Christmas Eve, we are eating and talking to our relatives; we have many stories to tell and share, and we cherish each and every moment because this only happens once a year.        Eve...

Showcasing their Specialization

Image
Festival of Talents EstudyanTREPRENEURS      The EstudyanTREPRENEURS consists of students from the TLE Department. They put up different booths that showcase their specialization guided and supervised by their respective teachers.      The specific booth I have visited is the industrial arts. Each specialization of the TLE Department showcases their expertise such as cookery, dressmaking, beauty care, etc. It gives an opportunity to every student to showcase their skills and talents and to apply what they have learned from their specialization and apply to a real life situation. Furthermore, every student was given an opportunity to interact with each other, have fun, and experience what we call consumer-seller relationship.      I therefore conclude that having such activities will benefit better understanding towards consumer and producer relationship and better knowledge at marketing strategies .

National Children's Month Celebration

Image
Under Republic Act 10661, the month of November is declared as NCM to commemorate the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) by the United Nations (UN) General Assembly on November 20, 1989.   The Philippines observes National Children's Month every November. Giving Filipino children access to a healthy environment, a quality education, and healthcare is the goal of this month-long celebration. The focus of National Children’s Month is to offer help to those children who suffered from abuse, poverty, natural calamities, and violence. In fact, in 2013 alone, there was a disturbingly high rate of children who suffered from sexual abuse and exploitation. By 2015, late Philippine President Benigno Aquino III made November the official National Children’s Month in the Philippines under the Republic Act No. 10661. We do not tolerate violence against children. The repercussions of abuse are something that will be carried with them until they become adults. This is...

Reflection

The learning and discoveries that I have gained during the 1st quarter are that we tackled the internet timeline, internet access, web blogs, and search engines. The problems/challenges that I have encountered during the discussions and activities is that I have a hard time memorizing the years and names on the internet timeline. I addressed my problems to the teacher by telling her that I have a hard time  memorizing the years and names on the internet timeline. Moving on, I will study harder and do better next time on my activities.
